It's all about Glee and Modern Family!

The emmy nominations are in...

Personally, I am happy to see so many nominations for the cast of Modern Family. The show is well performed and well written. In fact, every actor over the age of 20 who wasn't on Married with Children got nominated! I hope a show other than 30 Rock takes the emmy this year.

There is a noticeable lack of the HBO and Showtime shows from the list. Though Dexter, Trueblood, Curb and Nurse Jackie were nominated for Best Shows, where are the cast members from actor and actor lists?

It is good to see the cable programs getting more notice. Mad Men is nominate for drama with four of the actors nominated for their parts.

Below are my predictions:
OUTSTANDING DRAMA
Lost

OUTSTANDING COMEDY
Glee

OUTSTANDING ACTRESS IN A DRAMA
Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife)

OUTSTANDING ACTOR IN A DRAMA
Michael C. Hall (Dexter)

OUTSTANDING ACTRESS IN A COMEDY
Toni Collette (The United States of Tara) (A girl can hope)

OUTSTANDING ACTOR IN A COMEDY
Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory)

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A COMEDY
Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family)

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A DRAMA
Michael Emerson (Lost)

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A DRAMA
I DONT WATCH ANY OF THOSE SHOWS :(

OUTSTANDING ACTRESS IN A COMEDY
Jane Lynch (Glee) (SO IN THE BAG)

OUTSTANDING VARIETY, MUSIC, OR COMEDY SERIES
The Daily Show With Jon Stewart (SHOULD WIN)
The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien (WOULD BE HILARIOUS!)

Post your predictions in the comment section.

Can I just say, THANK GOD ALMIGHTY FOR FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS GETTING SOME EMMY LOVE?

Sorry for the all caps, but seriously. The lack of recognition for this show (the best drama on television in my opinion) has been shocking. So hurray for Kyle Chandler and Connie Briton for (finally) getting best actor and actress nominations.

And one more time I'll say, if you aren't watching this show PLEASE do so. It is amazing.

Jane Lynch better win. Or there will be some very angry gays the day after the awards.

Whitney, this is outside American TV, but do you and Andrew like British scifi shows such as Doctor Who and Torchwood? The girls love these shows, and so do I. We also came across a Canadian comedy called Little Mosque on the Prairie that we grew to really like.

Wishing you and Andrew safe passage on your adventure.
