When I went back and rewatched Season 1 a few weeks ago I noticed some Stannis references, so I hope/assume that most people had the same benefit of a rewatch. With the number of DVDs they sold, I figure MOST people got a chance to revisit Season 1. I am sure they will expand on the Stannis stuff soon--I suppose all you need to know for now is that he is a hard dude and the red chick is not to be messed with. Yay, for the return of the show!Maggie Catshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09883765124150271927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27899397.post-62407399537477288042012-04-03T14:24:26.864-04:002012-04-03T14:24:26.864-04:00as someone who hasn't read the books, I can an...as someone who hasn't read the books, I can answer your question! I dug the premiere (and join you in your hatred of Joffrey.) They put Dragonstone in the opening credits, which we (the Boy *has* read the books) both noticed, so we weren't confused by the new venue of action, although I have no real clue who the redhead is (is she Stannis' wife, too, or just his religious advisor/power behind the man?) but it didn't bother me at all. I knew who Stannis was, though we hadn't met him before now, because he's been mentioned before, and I figured out what was going on pretty quickly. I'm sure there were nuances I wasn't privy to that The Boy picked up on, but I wasn't totally at sea or anythingMelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00582704235977117854noreply@blogger.com
